Join Latino Outdoors, The Herbal Action Project, Connect and Hike, and San Antonio Plus-Sized Hikers for a collaborative event at Lockhart State Park! We’ll gather for pan dulce from 8:30-9:00 AM, with the hike starting at 9:00 AM.

Latino Outdoors is an organization dedicated to expanding outdoor opportunities for Latino communities. Through hikes and other outdoor activities, they build a community that promotes diversity, leadership, and connection to nature.

The Herbal Action Project brings knowledge of plants and herbs to outdoor adventures. At this event, they will offer a plant identification session to deepen your understanding of the local ecosystem.

San Antonio Plus-Sized Hikers fosters an inclusive environment for people of all sizes to explore nature and engage in physical activity. Their mission is to make hiking accessible and welcoming to everyone.

Reserve Your Spot

Reserve your day pass in advance for the 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM slot starting on October 6th. Please note, there is a $3 entry fee if you don’t have a Texas State Park Pass.

We encourage carpooling to reduce your environmental footprint. Please remember, “Give a Hoot, Don’t Pollute!”

Hydration Reminder

We recommend bringing at least 1 liter of water, or two small water bottles. If you’re curious about your hydration needs, check out our Hike Fuel Calculator for an idea of water consumption based on your hike duration and intensity.
