Daily Itinerary Highlights

• Day 1: October 24th – Arrival and Travel to Whitney Portal
• Arrive at Fresno Airport by 1:00 PM.
• Shuttle to Whitney Portal, 4.5-hour drive.
• Set up camp and spend the night acclimatizing at 8,360 feet.
• Day 2: October 25th – Hike to Trail Camp via Consultation Lake
• 6-mile hike to Trail Camp with a detour for extra acclimatization.
• Set up camp at 12,000 feet.
• Day 3: October 26th – Summit Mt. Whitney
• Early ascent via the 99 Switchbacks and Trail Crest.
• Summit Mt. Whitney at 14,505 feet, then descend back to Trail Camp.
• Day 4: October 27th – Descend to Whitney Portal
• Pack up camp and hike back to Whitney Portal.
• Shuttle back to Fresno.
• Day 5: October 28th – Backup day for weather delays or additional rest if needed.
